The Storage Facilities Report in TractIQ makes it easy to build prospecting lists and understand all the key details about self-storage facilities in your market. Whether you’re evaluating opportunities, preparing outreach, or analyzing competition, this report pulls together everything you need in one place.

 

How to Generate the Storage Facilities Report

  1. Select a Location
    • Click on a facility pin on the map, or drop your own pin to set your point of origin.

    • This will open the Insight Panel on the right side of your screen.

  2. Set Your Trade Area
    • Adjust your radius or drive-time settings at the top of the Insight Panel.

    • Your report will reflect the facilities located within these boundaries.

  3. Generate the Report
    • In the Insight Panel, click Reports.

    • Select Storage Facilities Report.

    • The report will generate and download automatically as an Excel file.


What’s Included in the Report

Each spreadsheet tab corresponds to the radius or drive-time you selected (e.g., 1, 3, and 5 miles). Inside, you’ll find:

    • Facility name

    • Management type (e.g., REIT, independent)

    • Operating vs. development status

    • For development sites: project description information

    • Square footage values

    • Parcel information

    • Last sale data

  • Ownership Data
    • Owner name

    • Mailing address

    • Contact information (when available)

    • Easy-to-use owner and facility lists for outreach

    • Clear breakdown of facilities by distance from your selected point
