1) What’s in the API

The Site Analysis API gives you structured data about a trade area (a radius in miles) around a specific location so you can understand the local self-storage market. 

When you provide an address, the API returns the following type of data:


  • Location details: Confirms the address and provides exact latitude/longitude coordinates.

  • Demographics:  Local population, projected growth, and median household income.

  • Storage supply

    • Total square footage of storage space in the area (current and projected)

    • Number of facilities (current and projected)

    • Typical pricing by unit size and whether climate control is offered

  • Incoming housing

    New housing starts and number of residential units coming to the area.

  • Market saturation

    Storage space available per person (now and projected), which helps measure whether a market may be under- or over-supplied.

In short, the API connects an address to rich market data covering people, storage supply, housing growth, and competition.

To start using the API, follow these steps:
